LEOpen Golf Tournament to Benefit the Johnson County STOP Underage Drinking Project and Kansas Special Olympics.
On October 3, 2005, STOP co-sponsored their second golf tournament. Proceeds will benefit both the Johnson County STOP Underage Drinking Project and Kansa s Special Olympics. The event was held at Deer Creek Golf Club and was attended by over 70 golfers. After a great day of golf, participants received a complimentary lunch and participated in a silent auction. STOP plans to use proceeds to award one or more one-thousand dollar ($1,000) scholarships to youth who are positive, alcohol, tobacco, and other drug-free role models for their peers in April, 2006.
